Truth and Reconciliation
Since 2021, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This day recognizes the tragic legacy of residential schools and honours the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
This page will provide numerous resources for personal learning and classroom use.
This pdf shares some of the important events that have impacted Indigenous People since 1492, with a focus on the peoples that live in what is now British Columbia.
The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation is hosted by the University of Manitoba, Treaty 1 Territory, Winnipeg, MB. It hosts archives, research and educational opportunities. Links to grade appropriate resources, books, videos. Hosts live educational opportunities in the weeks leading to the Day for Truth and reconciliation.
